The staffs at Herbert’s Cycles are themselves all dedicated cyclists for whom pedal power is a way of life. Their enthusiasm and knowledge is utilised on behalf of our customers to provide a comprehensive selection of the best bikes that our stocked manufacturers have to offer.

We carry a wide range of products from Trek and Giant starting from great value entry-level cycles to latest specialist carbon-fibre mountain and road bikes. In addition is a choice of custom frames and complete bikes from a variety of small independent manufacturers. We continue to stock a good range of BMX and children’s bikes.

Road Bikes

GIANT – This is an extremely diverse range of road cycles to suit all of today’s riders for all day sportive speed and comfort to a Cavendish pro team Columbia weapon of choice. Giant have always been at the forefront of product development and they have been for the road race bike concept changing visionaries with its compact frame designs

TREK – Years of Armstrong development and excellence has turned the road range from the ground up into world beaters with its new Madone platform and other cycle developments taking centre stage on the worlds pro circuit with Alberto contador starting its winning ways with victory in the giro d’italia recently.

BH – this road range of cycles has a superb pedigree and history to call upon for its expertise in road racing. Sponsoring tour teams and using pro riders to develop the ultimate machines for you to ride and race.

DAWES – Good touring cycles need to have build quality and years of experience behind them. Know the essentials and touring will be a pleasure not a pain. Dawes have been very successful with the Galaxy range for many years past and the build up specifications and geometries are spot on for the value they offer

Mountain Bikes

GIANT – Award winning trail bikes and superb value entry level bikes from giant over the years have made giant a rider favourite around the globe. There maestro suspension technology has set some industry benchmarks for trail bikes recently and are currently very popular in store We have a great selection of the latest models in many of there different riding platforms.

TREK - New technology’s and an influx of design changes have seen the new trek ranges jump out and take some serious credit from magazine reviews and plaudits worldwide the cycle range is really complete with the bikes having great specs the fuel, remedy, and the EX range are the trail riding show stoppers with those bikes come the hard-tails ranging from entry level price points to carbon race machines there is something on offer for everybody

BH - Experience and knowledge from years in mountain bikes has given the BH brand a great range with some really superb bikes there are some unbelievable spec levels of hard-tail and we keep some of these models in stock.

OTHERS - Smaller niche brands of mountain bikes and framesets have always been popular and are quite in demand at the moment like the steel Reynolds tubed Cotic’s and salsa’s hand built beauty’s to name a couple of examples

Hybrid/Urban Bikes

GIANT - Urban machines and hybrids are very strong in the giant line up currently. utilising there Dutch background for the relax riding positions of the town series of expression hybrid models and the sportier feel of the CRS and CRS FS models make up some really popular bikes for leisure and commuter riding.

TREK - Design and ability make the Trek a great range to choose from the navigator range has comfort and utility to mind with the Soho models offering urban style and speed watch out for the belt drive innovation to take centre stage! In 2009. FX models have the use of road and trail ability with there suspension hybrids.

COTIC – smaller brand Cotic developed a great design in the road rat frameset which we have custom built often into a commuters dream bike checkout the gallery for an example of this bike
